Bloodlin3’s collaboration with Project Pat on ‘Blessed Today’ highlights their artistry development and the landmarks they achieve as upcoming artists in the hip-hop community. The track does a fantastic job of giving a fusion between distant sounds like Memphis and modern day sounds giving an excellent listening experience. With regards to the sound, Virtuosic Productions has taken the dominion and they have provided perfect immersive sounds for the bars.
Modulating trap-like percussion supports a set of driving synths that underpins the instrumental while also plaiting soft electronic sounds through the mix resulting in something atmospheric and blunt.Project Pat’s very first verse really captures the feel of the song as he infuses the stereotypical Memphis touch through his signature style, one that hip hop enthusiasts would immediately connect with. Following him in blistering verses are the other Bloodlin3 tier members – Reinman Quiji, Mallachi and Stephen King who tackle the song with their self-interpretation each delivering their respective unique flow direction. There is a clear chemistry between all four artists making it less of a collaboration and more of a natural effort.
The hook however seems very catchy while being the standout part of the song while it delivered by Mallachi alongside Project Pat with them being able to smoothly blend words out while conveying a thankful tone alongside a positive approach towards the composition of this song. As for the instruments, bouncy synths and snapping beats combined would suit perfectly for their verbal interplay. Starting from El Paso and Paducah as base locations Bloodlin3 seems to be unafraid to explore new horizons and looking to fit in the modern hip hop scene. “Blessed Today” shouldn’t be seen as another release instead it is a polymorphic engagement as it allows audiences to touch new depths of the art of these amazing artists . This track sets the bar high for what’s to come from this promising collective in 2025.
