The Music Of Sound was a great surprise to me in Butterfly Heart. I did not have much expectations as I listened. However, immediately, I was addicted. The sound of shinyness of the synth sounds reminded me of the 80s but the song remains new, fresh.
The electronic drum sounds just appropriate. They produce a rhythm that prompted me to make my nod unconsciously. The entire thing is smooth and natural sounding. The band is evidently aware of what they are up to. They are not on display.
The special thing about this song is Sherin and her voice. She is both soft and strong. She is not weak, but sounds vulnerable. You can see that she is singing what she is talking about. In a frank manner, she sings of big dreams and real life. Nothing feels fake. And that chorus is so hooky. I have been humming it all through the days.
The song continues to get better with each passing time. Even has a flute section which would have sounded ridiculous, but instead fits the part perfectly. You will be able to hear how sure the three band members are. Elena is a flute player and Neil is a keyboards player. They will also introduce beautiful sounds, but not make it too busy.
This band is at its very best in Butterfly Heart. They are not attempting to sound old-fashioned, or imitate somebody. It is simply a great electro-dream pop. The one that leaves you with the reason as to why you love music. It’s brilliant.
