Hans Petter Stormoen is a Norwegian songwriter who is the creator of PLAYKNOW. He can structure each release on the basis of the song itself, and not the same recipe. This one he collected other musicians to add colour to. It’s clear that it’s from someone who cares about what they’re saying. Kim Rysstad is the lead singer and OMG. His voice is strong and comforting like your back. Written specially for him, you can hear how it sounds. All the lines are genuine. I took a deep breath at the silent moments.
The back of the line of players are doing great things. The track was written and executed by Frode Berntzen, who also does the guitar. Håkon Brynjulvsrud is playing bass and Børre Flyen on drums, keeping things rolling nicely. The song is enhanced with lovely keys by Jakob Lund Paulsen, which take a wrap around the song like a soft glow. There’s no room for fighting. It appears everyone knows when to lend a hand.
It is a song that evokes memories of bright, dreamy songs of old, but never of the past. It’s easy to sway to the beat and the layers of sound open up like a wide sky.
